Do we run 'family to family' exchanges?

We get asked this a lot on-line and in person. My own daughter travelled to Bordeaux twice on a family exchange and is now a secondary school modern foreign languages teacher. I am still in contact with my exchange partner and his family from 1980 ( and yes I still use my French on a regular basis).

Whilst we would love to run 'family to family' exchanges (many of us participated in the Bordeaux and other French exchanges in our youth) the world has changed in UK 'pre-18' education and we are not best placed to offer this as a direct service. Our good friends at the Association Bordeaux Bristol do continue to operate a 'family' exchange and are always seeking Bristol based participants. The responsibility for any arrangement will rest with the parties involved and we cannot be held liable for any commercial or safeguarding issues.

That being said we would love to hear about any forthcoming 'post-18' exchanges or any school organised or professional commercial exchanges organised between the two cities. If we can help spread the word or assist you via our links in Bordeaux then please do get in touch.
